My father painted abstractions under a pseudonym to protect his reputation as a figurative sculptor, due to the aesthetic politics of his time. He was deeply into Theosophy and other esoteric beliefs which I have set forth as a cosmic reverie. Recently, I discovered that his abstractions were shown at the Guggenheim in 1953.
